SPRINTER VAN

OIL COOLER

SAVE YOUR VAN FROM EXTREME OIL TEMPERATURES

(OIL FILTER HOUSING NOT INCLUDED)

YOUR OIL IS BREAKING DOWN

When oil breaks down, it can’t lubricate moving parts—wear rates climb by up to 30%, shortening both engine and turbo life and driving repair costs sky‑high 🚀.

When oil temperatures in a diesel engine exceed 250°F, you're entering a danger zone where various types of damage can start to occur, such as oil breakdown, bearing damage, turbocharger failure, and piston ring and cylinder wall wear.

CRITICAL THRESHOLDS

Oil Temp(°F) Condition
220-240°F Normal for loaded diesel operation
250°F Start of accelerated oil breakdown and wear
275-300°F Severe oil degradation, high risk of engine damage
300°F+ Catastrophic failure likely if sustained

OUR SOLUTION

The kit that we’ve developed reduces oil temperatures from 30°F to 50°F, which increases engine and turbo life.

🛡️

Prevents Thermal Degradation

Keeps oil below critical temperatures so it doesn’t oxidize, form sludge or varnish and retains its original viscosity.

💧

Maintains Lubrication Film

Cooler oil stays at the right viscosity to protect bearings, pistons and other moving parts.

🌀

Protects Your Turbo

Lowers turbocharger bearing temperatures—dramatically extending turbo life.

⚙️

Reduces Wear & Tear

Less heat and contamination means fewer metal‑on‑metal contacts and longer component life.

💰

Cuts Maintenance Costs

Extends oil change intervals, avoids costly engine or turbo rebuilds.

HOW IT WORKS

Below is a simple three‑step diagram showing the journey of your engine oil:

OIL ROUTED

Oil exits the engine and enters the precision‑machined adapter block.

OIL COOLED

Oil flows through the aluminum core behind the grille, where airflow quickly dissipates heat.

OIL RETURNS

Cooled oil flows back into the engine, maintaining optimal viscosity and protection.

    The Mercedes Sprinter Magic Solution

Wow!!!!! I can only imagine what is going to happen when i have my 3.0 V6 running cooler oil…. I have been changing my oil every 1,000 miles to make sure my turbo is not getting any coking. These engines are so powerful we really need this kind of long term solution to keep the oil temp low and the wear at zero.

I swear that changing the oil every 1,000 miles makes this engine bulletproof. I have not ordered this oil cooler yet but I can tell it’s going to make such a difference on the robust platform this sprinter is built on.

One of the countries leading experts.

I trust Dave and his team with my 150K Sprinter. I travel the country with this thing. Its my lifeblood. I've seen these engines tank because of high oil temps from members in my sprinter group.

This is the cheapest insurance you can have for your $30,000 engine.

Still Have Some Questions?

Here are some concerns that our customers had before they bought Daves Oil Cooler. All of which went away when they realized how good the product was!

Right now, our kit is available exclusively for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans (2007–2025). We’re hard at work expanding fitment to Mercedes CDI passenger cars (C-Class, E-Class, G-Class, etc.) and popular non-OEM installs like Jeep Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300C—stay tuned for those releases, and check back soon!

Note: Installing the cooler adds about 1.4 L to your oil circuit, so you’ll need to top up an extra 1.4 L of oil when you fit the kit.

Lab and field tests show up to a 50 °F drop in oil temperature under heavy load (e.g. towing or spirited driving), keeping oil within its optimal viscosity range.

  • Dave’s proprietary, CNC-machined adapter block
  • All-aluminum oil-cooler core
  • 316-grade stainless-steel fittings
  • Reinforced high-pressure hoses
  • Mounting brackets, clamps & hardware
  • Standard Kit (No Fan): Ideal for mild climates and light-duty use—relies on vehicle airflow.
  • Premium Kit (With Fan): Recommended for hot environments, heavy towing or slow-speed operation—provides up to 30% extra cooling when airflow is limited.

Periodically inspect hoses and fittings for leaks or wear during oil changes. The aluminum core requires no servicing; if you opted for the fan kit, ensure the fan and wiring harness stay clean and secure.
