The primary additive package mitigates low speed pre-ignition (LSPI) and prevents turbocharger coking in TGDI engines. Multifunctional detergents and dispersants prevent sludge, varnish, and carbon deposits. Powerful antioxidants prevent degradation and oil thickening under extended periods of high-temperature operation. Air release agents prevent high-RPM aeration that can interfere with variable valve timing systems. Friction modifying chemistry enhances fuel economy. Pour point depressants improve low-temperature flow and pumpability.
